Khwisero MP Launches Free Medical Camps

Over 300 households in Khwisero Sub-County will benefit from a free medical camp organized by the area Member of Parliament, Christopher Aseka. The initiative, which aims to provide essential health services to underserved communities, will be conducted across all sub-locations in the region to ensure as many residents as possible are reached.

Speaking at the launch of the program over the weekend, MP Aseka emphasized the importance of bridging healthcare gaps through accessible treatment and preventive care. He noted that such initiatives make significant positive differences in people’s lives by empowering communities with critical medical services.

The hundreds of residents who attended the medical camp expressed their excitement and gratitude for the free services, acknowledging how the program will address pressing health concerns in the area.

During the event, Aseka also urged residents to register for the Social Health Authority (SHA) scheme to enhance their access to long-term healthcare. “All you need is an identification card and a birth certificate for children to register for SHA,” he explained, encouraging residents to take advantage of the opportunity during the camp.

To ensure maximum impact, Aseka revealed that the program will be extended to more than twenty schools across the sub-county. Among the identified schools are Eshibinga, Elukanji, Emalindi, Mundaha, Emuruba, Shirali, Doho, Shiongo, Ibinda, and Namasoli, among others.

The medical camps are being organized in collaboration with Aseka Miradi Care and the Khwisero Sub-County health management team. “I have convened strategic meetings with health officers in charge of all health facilities within the sub-county to ensure the program runs successfully,” Aseka stated.

The initiative will not only provide essential medical treatment but will also promote the government’s goal of universal health coverage by facilitating SHA registration for residents.

The MP confirmed that the program will run until December 24th, ensuring that more community members are reached before the year ends. Through this initiative, Khwisero residents will access critical health care services, strengthening the overall well-being of the community.
