The plan was developed through extensive consultations with various stakeholders, including county assembly members, county secretariat officials, civil society organizations, and the public. Wanyonyi stated that the document focuses on enhancing the assembly's role in legislation, oversight, and representation.
“This strategic plan clearly outlines key pillars such as transparency, accountability, capacity building, public participation, infrastructure development, and the integration of technology,” Wanyonyi said. He further explained that these efforts would align with both national and county development agendas.
The Speaker urged stakeholders, including government entities, the private sector, civil society organizations, and the public, to work together in realizing the vision of the strategic plan.
