Bungoma County has achieved a major milestone with the launch of a Ksh 90 million electricity project in partnership with the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC). The initiative, announced by Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka, will electrify all 45 wards, transforming key sectors such as education, industry, and security.
Governor Lusaka emphasized the project's potential to revolutionize education by providing reliable electricity to schools, creating a better learning environment for students and teachers. The power supply will also drive industrial growth, creating job opportunities and boosting the local economy.
The project further aims to enhance public safety by equipping security facilities with reliable power, strengthening law enforcement capabilities across the county.
Governor Lusaka called on residents to support and protect the vital infrastructure, urging the community to seize this opportunity to advance development and prosperity in Bungoma. This ambitious project marks a significant step toward a brighter and more connected future for the county.
